Calling An Author's Title And/Or Blog Tagline (WP-Related)

Ok, so I wasted my entire day on this, and I decided to see if there's help here before I pass out from being awake for well over 24 hours.

So, as the (ironically) title suggests, I would like to be able to call a user's archives' title. I've made a WP-United set up which enabled users to choose personal titles for their own blogs which differ from the site's main title. It usually show up on their posts and archive page. How do I go about calling it?

tl;dr I want this function specified for a $userid instead of the entire site.

Thanks in advance everyone, this should be my last question! So sorry for the bother.

I don't know how that plugin stores the custom title, but the most logical thing would be to store it in the user or usermeta table which would lead to get_userdata() being what you're looking for. Not sure if it picks up on custom database fields, but since it claims to be a 1:1 mapping it should. If not it's pretty easy to write your own function for the same effect.

Thank you once again, Anders. Thank you very much!
