IONCube Encoded Script - Local Install Possible?

hello experts,

just wanted to ask if there is a way to install a script that is encoded with ioncube, to be installed in a local web server.

the main purpose of this, is for local development. I want to install it inside xampp with ioncube loader installed.

yes you can! If your script connects to the Internet and you want to deny this probably it gives an error.

There can be no difference between online hosting and your local hosting. But if you are working locally you can disable your internet connection. If your Ioncubed script connects to a third-party server you might get errors - because no internet connection.
(I think that your script comes with Ioncube Loader - if not you can read instructions here: http://www.ioncube.com/loader_installation.php)

P.S. Personally I use LAMPP - there are many tools to edit directly your config files - avoid to lose your time when you search to edit some configs.

the script is locked to my domain name. therefore, i can't install it anywhere else not even in my local xamp.

the main purpose of this need, is for me to develop a template locally. i want to create a custom theme for the template.

so, what im asking about is, are there any ways around to install the script? do i really need to deioncube it first? just like what i've read through blogs?

you have 2 posibilities, but I dont know if will work:
1. deioncube your script and remove restrictions (more details on http://ioncube-decoder.blogspot.ro/)
2. simulate on your host a TLD (http://dafizilla.wordpress.com/2007/...-on-localhost/)

but hey, the host file thing did work! without using the virtualhost thing.

you know, i've been posting here in this site to seek a direct helpful answers.

but some people really never cares about that, they only want to post their reply, to accomplish some things.
