Changing my directory? Need a solution

My directory has just got out of hand so I am going to go for an easier to maintain directory. I also want something that is easily skinnable and one that I can apply a decent design to. The problem is that it is going to have to replace my current directory but I don't want to lose the links that are there.

Should I even do this at all. The reason I ask is that at the current rate I am going the finished directory will have like 1000 categories.

If you really want this, wait for Bluefind and help out there, directories are massive projects.

I'll be a BlueFind admin with some of the other older members from w-f, anyone can apply to be an editor I think.

I am not making a general directory

Make it very specific then, like web hosting (although there is sooo many of those!)

Or for forums or something.
