I hate DIVS and CSS right now (100% height question)

Not really, I'm just frustrated that it's not working.

I'm trying to make my site a little more pleasing to the eye by adding some color. Basically giving the sidebar a different background and a head/foot color. And that part's come long fine. Not done, so don't say a thing about that. But done enough for you to get the idea.

I have the side bar in a div named 'aside' and it's inside of a div named 'content'. I can't get the damn sidebar to stretch 100% of of the content div. And since I don't have a set height for the content div, I can't give the sidebar an absolute height to get what I want.

The plan for right now is to get this set up and put an overflow: scroll on it so there's always a link to every show. I could only get around 28 before, and less now with the addition of the cap and foot.

I've played around with your test page and I can get it to work there. But I still can't get it to work on my page. And they both ahve the same CSS now, so I don't think that's it.

Maybe because those red lines above and below the yellow are divs too?

No, on my page the red lines above the yellow are divs. It's working fine with the CSS I copied from your test page. So that makes me think it's not the CSS causing the problem, at least not all of it.

Normally I don't leave stuff live that I don't like like that. But it's not detrimental.

Also here's your origional test page and your test page with the doc type I'm using.

Try min-height as an attribute.
