Very Simple Shop (PHP, MYSQL)

Hello,

Maybe some of you have a small php script of a shop with basic functions like presenting products from database, shopping cart and maybe small admin control panel to add, remove products, check orders?

I need very simple code as I am doing a project for university and I need simple to understand example, so I could learn from it. Products could actually be listed in a simple table

if you want a very simple shop go and rent one online from a dedicated source specialized in this. In sweden there is jetshop.se for example that are very good and very simple.

You could look at Shopify which is a paid product, or equally you could take a look at getting some hosting for WordPress and using some shopping cart plugins. That would work too.

You guys need to read the OP again - they're not asking for a shopping cart solution, they're needing code to work with for a school project.

Correct, you should really read all the other users posts. Error of me, my bad:
1) Magento http://magento.com/
2) OpenCart http://www.opencart.com/

go with either of them to. They are the biggest thus you'll find plenty of forum support to ask. Because that is exactly what you needto learn this in a good and efficiant way

Those are not simple shopping cart scripts.

OP,
If you like books, Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL and Apache in 24 hours (2003 edition) has instructions for creating a shopping cart. According to the ad at Amazon this section is still in the new edition (Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL and Apache All in One (5th Edition) ).

If you Google simple shopping cart script free. Maybe one in the results will come with an example database. You are not going to be able to test the actual purchase cycle unless you have some kind of payment processor set up like PayPal and use their Sandbox test accounts.

I suggested using Shopify or WP plugins as the question implied code but was not explicit as to it needing to be purely code. I've seen many people ask for shopping card code meaning fully working software packages.

To rectify my previous post, YouTube has some pretty decent tutorials from what I remember. Equally, I find that looking at existing code solutions is often a great way to learn, though make sure they use good code practices as you wouldn't want to lean bad ones.

For simple shop, i suggest you can reference from the opencart.
Base on it you can make your simple shop by your way.
Examples:
First create your sitemap:
Home, About, Contact, FAQ, Category(display your produt in group), Product( display the detail of your product like image, price, etc), Cart(the shopping cart)
The second, create your database
The third, make all pages in your sitemap
