Thumbs down Learning a programming language

Hello again everyone!

I really want to code my own programs (for PC) but I have no Idea where to start.

To start with... I'd like to give C or C++ a try or whatever language allows me to make Windows programs.

What IDE should I get and where can I learn coding?
I have Win XP 32bits SP3.

Thank you

C# is what you need. Check out MS Visual Studio Express - it's free : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=40787

Since everyone learns differently, where to get training is subjective, BUT... MS does have a some free tutorials to get you started :

Good job WindSplitter1. It's good to discuss your queries with others so others will come to know about those issues.

If you do not have any idea about programming, better you find some one who can teach you the basic, once you know the basics you can google and learn from it.

Hello everyone!

Well, seems as I can't install VS 2013 on my comp... Only good for Windows 7 and beyond and I use XP. Darn it!

Can you provide alternatives? I have a strong desire to learn and won't hold back any punches. Thanks!

C# is the language that helps you to build MS programs. Start from there.
