need help creating links

I run a simple site that allows one to compare search results from various search engines, searchtrunk.com. I want to create an area entitled, recent searches that lists the last several search terms looked up. Can anyone look at the site and show me how to structure a link that will both populate my form and have more pages that google can index. Thanks

Hi, if it's a PHP website then you can use URL like searchtrunk.com?term=bikes and then use $_GET['term'] to capture that word and then show it as already populated in your input box with just echo $_GET['term'].

Do you have any programming experience and in which programming language website is developed in?

thanks

thanks for such a quick response and i do appreciate your time. yes it is a php site and no i am no programmer. remember i am trying to create links and i dont understand the "Get " structure you mentioned. please help. if you could try to create a link, see if it then goes to my site and prepopulates the form, then show me the structure, i would be extremely grateful. Also, as i am creating a blog to add the the site and you have a related site, i would happily write something about your site and give credit; at this point thats all i can afford. thanks again and let me know...

Here is the actual code of the form:

Quote:
<div id="container">
<form id="form" onSubmit="return doSearch()"><div id="box">
<div id="input"><input id="i" type="text" /></div>
<a onClick="nextLanguage()" id="lang"></a>
<ul id="sugs"></ul>
<center><em>enter search term, choose a search engine & hit enter</em></center>
</div></form>
Hope this helps, I cant get this to work. Remember I just want to create a link that will prepopulate this form.

Thanks guys for all your help
