Urgent: Dropdown navigation link menu

Hi guys,

There is a problem I am having with a http://www.gadjetsupply.com/ website.

The top navigation menu drops down when the mouse is BELOW the navigation menu, please see the screenshot below. If you hold your mouse of the green section, the menu drops down - but it shouldn't. It should only dropdown if my mouse is over the navigation menu itself.

The URL is http://www.gadjetsupply.com/ please let me know what can be done about this?

Thanks guys!

In your style.css file on line 3730 .nav li ul, decrease top from 52px to 33px.
Problem solved

Oh, I see now what is the problem.

Code:
#top-menu li > a { padding-bottom: 60px; }
Just decrease that padding-bottom to 5px.
Now the problem will be solved.

Urgent: Mobile dropdown menu too long!

Hi all,

My website has quite a few links in the navigation, and the desktop version uses a dropdown menu. On the desktop everything is fine.

But when the menu is clicked on a mobile phone, it drops down and shows every single item in the dropdown menu. Please go to http://www.gadjetsupply.com/ and make the browser window small so it switches to mobile view in order to see exactly what I mean.

So it looks as follows on mobile

-----
Menu 1
Menu 1.1
Menu 1.2
Menu 1.3
Menu 2
Menu 2.1
Menu 2.2
Menu 2.3
Menu 3
Menu 3.1
Menu 3.2
Menu 3.3
etc
etc
etc
-----

It is very, very long and not user-friendly.

Is it possible to make it look like:

---
Menu 1
Menu 2
Menu 3
etc

(When you click on Menu 1 then Menu 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 should appear.)

----

Can anyone help with this please?

Thanks a lot guys.

Dennis, I would suggest not showing the sub categories in the mobile view. While it's possible to write some JS to get them to auto expand, the quick fix would be something like this...

HTML Code:
.et_mobile_menu li li { display: none; }

Thanks a lot Ranga - that is 80% of my problem solved!

The other 20% would now be that if you press menu X then submenu X should dropdown.. Is this also something that can be done easily?

Thanks!!

You'd need to iterate through all of the links and append and ID to them dynamically if they don't have one already. I wrote a script that can do this. It's kind of complex to explain but here's the script if you want to take a stab at it.

pastebin.com/FyB37HSA

You'd probably want to use some kind of icons or bootstrap glyphs on the web for the sidebar as well.
