<!DOCTYPE HTML 4.01 Transitional//E

I was having a nightmere this evening trying to figure out why i coudnt get the scrollbars to change color - I tried everything to rectify the problem...

Then I removed the top code

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

and walla the CSS script worked:

Anybody have anyideas why this is happerning...

And If I have to remove this code will it effect my site being crawaled or cause anyother problems?

Distorted is on the right pathDistorted is on the right path
Try changing it to this:

[code:1:9ed4722585]<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">[/code:1:9ed4722585]

If that doesn't work, try putting this somewhere in the head:

[code:1:9ed4722585]
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
[/code:1:9ed4722585]

Maybe one of those will help.

The reason is that the code to change the scroll bar colors is not valid code.

trainer is liked by many
Correct; it is a completely nonstandard "feature" invented by Microsoft.
