Your opinion: What best language to collect data?

I am not programmer (sorry...)
And I will happy to hear your opinion what is the best language to write web based system that:

1 - collect data from youtube - like title, keywords etc...
2 - can be in membership platform - so the system will count and limit how much searches every user allowed every day/month

I know it have 2 languages: PHP and PYTHON that as I understand are good and useful languages

I will happy to hear your opinion which is better to choose and if you suggest another programming language.

Thank you

1. If you're not a programmer, you can;t develop programs in any language, so it wouldn't really matter.

2. If you're asking what language to learn in order to be able to collect data, you don't do it that way.

First you learn programming. Try Algorithms And Data Structures. It's not a "quick read" - study it. If you can't get past page 13 without getting lost, your brain isn't wired for programming, so hire a programmer. (Short people can't play professional basketball either - but they make great jockeys.)

If you get past that (it should take a few months of 4-5 hour sessions - at least one a day, 5 days a week), move on to CS50, a simple computer science course.

By the time you're done with that (and it should take another few months), you'll be a programmer, and you'll be able to start studying how to collect data.

Or, if you don't want to put in the time and effort to learn programming, hire a programmer. (Now you know why programmers don't come cheap - a good programmer has been programming and studying for years.)

Either PHP or Python should be good for the purpose.

I am not qualified to comment on amount of time it will take to learn to do what you want - I usually start by grabbing a book or some online docs and reading and playing around with things to get a feel for the syntax and structures and possibilities.

It is possible to learn a limited slice of the language (ignore parts that do not apply) and do your own code -- it may prove to not be worth the effort to learn and do it yourself but by all means give it a go (then learn the rest of the language later).

I think the best for data collecting and maintaining is Java as it lets you use object oriented the best way and inside those objects you can manage your data correctly. Of course when using objects and polymorphism it's important to stay focus because it can get complicated and lead to code vulnerabilities. To prevent those you can use some code security programs, such as Checkmarx which is a good one.
Good luck.
