Return to Homepage after thanks page

Hi guys,
Wonder if anyone could throw some light on this question?

I have a simple webform on my site, which links to a php (redirect?) page.
After hitting the "Submit" button, my customer is taken to a "Thanks" page, so far so good - but here lies my query.

Is there a "simple" piece of code I can insert somewhere, which will only allow my "Thanks" page to display for (for example) 5 seconds, then return my customer to my homepage?

Thanks in advance.
Steve

<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="10;URL=http://www.yoursite.com/">

Paste that in <head> </head> section.
Change "yoursite.com" to your own domain.

Browsers often do not like Meta refresh pages.

What you should do is use PHP and change the header information on the the thanks page to redirect. That would be the best route to go.

Izzmo,
Thanks for that . . . . any chance you could give me a few pointers as to the code I need to input into my "Thanks" page?

I'm guessing that I'd need to include a redirect from my html "Thanks" page, to a php redirect page (???)

Sorry, I'm going to need a lot of clarification if I'm able to do this - with your help please!

I'm ony just getting into html, and know NO php!

Thanks for your patience!

Steve

unfotunetly with PHP after you open up any tags their "header()" function no longer works... its strictly for blank pages which are only calculating and envoking functions. Meta tags is your safest bet, place a link under the thank you symbol as well just in case the meta doesn't work on those weird or old browsers
