I was checking the latest visitor stats on my site and found this as one of my visitors...

http://www.pingdom.com/monitor/www.just-gutters.com

my website is just-gutters.com and I have no idea what pingdom.com is.

Anyone ever here of this site?

Funny thing, I just sent them a "get my domains the hell out of your programs" letter. They do website monitoring, and let you know when your site goes down (or gets real slow) via pager or whathaveyou.

I believe this is a marketing ploy on their part. Sysadmins start seeing their domain hitting the server (2 for each domain) and they investigate and possibly become customers.

Any way you slice it, I've blocked them from ever receiving anything from our servers.
