need help with CSS position

I have read the book and look around the website about position. The only thing I see the missing discuss is nest.

I am try to set the absolute and try to add float the full background cover behind it. Let me know if you want look at my work. Please let me know and I am not done with my work. Just want layout done and then work on the graphic.

Hope you have time and help me. I am not speaking about do work for me. I want to learning and how to set up.
