Trying to convert my home page into a blog

Hi, everyone,

I'm trying to convert my home page into a blog format, while retaining the original design.

Here is my draft version:
http://www.webservertimes.com/Blog/index1.html

Has anyone here tried to do this before? I'm concerned about having a lot of bloated code, extraneous fonts, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated, as always,

I'm not trying to be trendy.

My site is an I.T. news site, and it needs up-to-date news articles. The easiest way to do that is to have a blog format. I can post the articles without having to create a new page each time.

Yes! All I do is add a few sentences to the home page. Then add a link to the full article, and reload the home page onto the server.

Who needs "blogging software"??

so your, doing the updates maunally?
bloging code is really easy... plus I think there are some scripts out there where you don't have to depend on any other site.

This blogging stuff, is it basically a news script? Where you can add an article or something on an online admin page, and it appears on the homepage automatically?

If it is, its really easy to make. Even ive made my own one :-D
