Popups not being indexed

Hi folks

Just realised when creating a sitemap for Google that our company portfolio does not get indexed. It uses popups to show more detail about each website we created. www.viperdesign.net/portfolio_web.asp

So why does this method not work? Why can't the SEs find the pages?

I would like to know how to open the detail in the main window rather than a popup but not sure about the best way to do this?

I think it is because you are using javascript to open the links.

ah i see, what method would you suggest? Ideally it shouldn't open in a popup but in the page itself. It must be simple but my mind is with other things right now and feels numb

You can use HTML links to redirect to the content, but catch when the user clicks on the link and then open the Popup.

that can be done with:
<a href="pagelink" onclick="...openPopupCode...">...</a>

And what about having a sitemap that links to all the portfolio pages without a popup?
