Content Management

Anyone know of a good content management system similar to Drupal that is ColdFusion based? Thanks.

Nope sorry. Ther is no "AWESOME" CMS out there really.
WordPress and Evo Articles are all I use and neither AFAIK are CF

Yeah, anything decent in Cold Fusion is probably going to be older (and therefore was decent but is dated now). Cold Fusion was pretty cool but it has fallen behind and in danger of getting lost. It really hasn't been marketed much in a good while. That's the kiss of death no matter how good or cool or funcitonal or anything else it is. Good luck on that one.

ColdFusion is still around but less popular because of cost. You can't beat free PHP so that one is the biggest one right now. However I have found that companies with money will invest in ColdFusion over PHP. Anyway, anyone used SPECK CMS?

Howdy Web Gazelle, Dunno if this is of use or not. I have been running a customized CF CMS for 4 years. It's not out of the box; our Web hosts helped us to create it. It's worked great but we may soon ditch it for a more open source system. While I love CF, it has caused limits for staff on what they can do on the pages. For example, simple drop-down menus in the middle of a page are a serious challenge due to the CF templates overriding other coding on that page. Be happy to detail more about how our runs, if it is of any help for you. It's been a great thang and was/is our first CMS. I will miss it greatly.

Have not looked at hot banana or CommonSpot, thanks for those suggestions. I have not had any problems with my drop down menus or any web site features not working with Coldfusion. I love Coldfusion.

I love it too! My dropdown problem relates to the templates staff use to easily create their pages. The templates can override what they try to do in the body. In hindsight, it could have better planned. Had no idea those non-coders would want to learn how it all really works.

Good luck on your project!
