Sons of suckerfish dropdown

Good afternoon everyone.
I was trying out the Sons of suckerfish dropdown menu's on a website im making for my mother.
However the menus dont seem to work in IE. I inserted the piece of javascript that came with it, but it still doesnt work.

You can find the site at http://keasu.com/storage/bambino

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong ?

Or does anyone have any better (preferrably css only) dropdown / flyout menu script or tutorial for it.

Thanks in progress,

Jesse Vlasveld

Here is a link. I think the guy that made this site, expects you to view the source to see how he created the flyout menus. I looked at it, and it is thoroughly commented. Good luck!

A flyout menu with FOUR sub levels, overlap and overrun

Thanks for the link. However I already knew about cssplay. He offers a couple of flyout scripts. But I found the first I tried having a bit to many 'ie compatibility' hacks. But I guess every dropdown/flyout requires that untill microsoft will implement the :hover function to more then only anchors.

I'm going to try this one out tomorrow, I'll let you know!

I have succesfully implemented the Suckerfish dropdown menus in one of my current projects. Going to see how I can tweak it further now, and keep it functional under IE.

If you're interested. You can find it here:

http://keasu.com/beta/dchain/index2.php

Mouse-over the 'Bekijk uw opties' to view the dropdown menu.
No functions are currently working, because the database is not on this domain and not all the pages are done yet.

Wow Jesse. Of all the pure css dropdown and flyout menus I looked at, I though Stu Nichols was the cleanest in terms of the hacks necessary to make it work for IE6 and earlier as well as work for IE7 and the more standards compliant browsers, IMHO. Seemed to me all the others either used a lot of javascript that I wasn't big on or had a lot more hacks for earlier IE versions. I like javascript but not in the menus if I can avoid it. Too many little errors. Most people don't see them because the have javascript errors turned off but I see them all the time. Good luck on the constant adventure of cross browser compatability
