Does my site show the right time for you?
My site will tell you the time almost anywhere in the world. The question is - does it tell you the right time or have I made a coding error? http://www.TimeDial.net. It works fine for me in the United Kingdom. Please reply telling me if the time is right for where you are and if not how far wrong it is. Dont forget to let me know you location.
Thanks

Seems like there's something wonky going on. I keep trying to input Ontario, Canada, but it constantly resets to Israel. And the time is incorrect.

I tried it and set my base location to US and Arizona. We are Mountain time (GMT -7) and do not go on Daylight Savings Time. I set the Target for US Califonia and it worked OK. I set the target for US Mississippi and it used the wrong time zone. It had Mississippi as GMT-5 which is Eastern time zone but Mississippi is Central time zone (GMT-6) Time seemed to be correct but time zones don't seem to be all correct.

Are you absolutly sure about Mississippi. My site and the following ones all agree that it is GMT-6 plus 1 hour for daylight savings = GMT-5

Actually, it looks like the time is right. My bad there. I saw the UTC - 5 and knew that was not right. I say "not right" because as a coder I am used to defining time zones and daylight savings time completely separately. A time zone never changes from -6 to -5. It is -6 or -5 but doesn't change. Then as a separate item is whether an area uses daylight savings time. That way, for areas like Arizona, that don't use daylight savings time, you don't have to create a whole different timezone catagory. Arizona is UTC-7 AND no DST Colorado is UTC-7 AND uses DST. Just semantics but at least in the US, Arizona doesn't go from Mountain Time to Pacific Time just because our time matches theirs for half the year. We are always Mountain time.
Bottom line is the time is right. Time zone is a little confusing.

It took a while for it to accept I'm in America not Israel, but I can't get it to change and accept that my region is Pennsylvania, not wherever it thinks I am that is -8

he he. No World time, international dialing codes and currency anywhere. I take it its setting the the home country not the away country to Isreal. Can you change the away country ok?

Yes. I even tried more than one state in the US just in case you had missed one.
Edit: I wasn't doing it right US, KY, Eastern is correct.
I was changing the location beside the house icon.

Please help... Is there anyone out there that could do me a huge favour. I need to run through some test questions with someone that has the problem where the countries can not be altered. Either private message me or reply here. Thanks in advance

You need to dekink the times still, but the regions seem to set right when you set them, though Israel still comes up for me.

- Sticky selection boxes fixed thanks for the help testing of Arenlor - that cat really knows where his towel is.
- Times are fixed. They were not off all this time it was just a bug I introduced when I fixed the sticky selection box problem. Doe! Still glad it has not been happening for months (I was getting confusing info as people didnt understand the way Id introduced daylight saving times in to the world time zone figures.... made this more clear now)
- Slightly less of a panic on this one.... but when you hit the home page with no querystring parameters it should set the home country to where you are by IP address lookup. This is never going to work 100% of the time as IP addresses change faster than I can update the database but I would like to know if its happening for you.
- Scriptman has brought up a third issue. When you make a selection in the away country it should remember this for next time you hit the home page (without querystring parameters). This is done via the use of a cookie. He said that this only worked 2 out of 3 times for him. Does it work for you as it does for me.
