who is online script php

hello, i´m new here.
i need help
i have a website and i would like to know if its possible to see how many visitors are online at the moment. how can i do that?

Sorry, wasn't supposed to be a command or anything!

I think it's a coding issue though, - coders will know if it can be done.

I think you need to use sessions for people as they login and out of the site, the number of sessions indicating how many people are online at a given time.

There is likely other ad-hock ways of doing this, specially if they are loging into a database, but I think sessions is likely the most efficient. Course I have never worked with sessions... so take that with a grain of salt

I have it on my site and just custom coded the script.

The script fish gave is looking good!

you just want a whos online script? will most servers with cpanel have a cgi one that can be installed in like 2 mins.
