script to track/manage links... is it?

Hi all.

I have seen it in some affiliate sites.
The link (source) look like this:
[code:1:e4904711ea]<a href="http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/folder/jump.cgi?ID=nn">wherever</a> [/code:1:e4904711ea]

Clicking the link usually takes you to a merchant site.
Is it some kind of "link tracker/manager" for affiliate sites?

Where I can find a script like that?
What search term should I use to look for it?

Yep, it typically sends the user to a script which records what's happening then sends the user to their final destination. I think "redirection scripts" is what you're after. Try:
