Anybody know the link for the phpbb session ID hack & installaion details..

I think this is the hack for enabling google and other search engines to crawl the phpbb forums..if not please correct me!

why not just throw a .htaccess out there to turn off the session id's or turn it off in your php.ini?

Seems easier than installing a hack which I would guess just does an ini_set (beats me though, never installed phpbb before).

Wow.. that's quite the code. The one I installed was about 3 lines... and it worked just fine. I've since installed the htaccess mod_rewrite like this forum has on it.

So it does more than just remove the session ID... is more of a SEO mod than just a session ID mod.

Just follow the instructions in the huge post above, it goes thourgh step by step of what to do, what files to edit in what order.
