I was looking at AJAX just yesterday, digiweb however, it still incorporates JS (i am actually going to start trying a few things out using AJAX i really like the thoery behind it), and my argument is that, yes full server-side code send the full suitcase home just for the sock to be laundered but with Master Pages and .NET built-in validation tools, the suitcase being sent home is now much smaller and some of the stuff is actually left back. Also full server-side (if there is such a website!) is 100% safe and 100% usable by everyone JS enabled or not.
But on the other hand, enriching the client's experience with JS/AJAX is a big plus and could be worth it to forget about those ~5% of internet users that don't use JS.
Really it's more of a predicament than an argument actually! Anyhow i am going to try AJAX out as this interests me.
