HTML and Flash

Hello.

I had created a website completely in flash and now have recreated most of it in HTML but wanted to continue using some of my flash file within my HTML website.

I can embed the flash file but the buttons within it (calling other swfs and linking to different URLs) don't work.

Some browsers are giving me a security notice and others simply aren't doing anything...

I am so confused! I've tried all the ways I know of to embed the flash file and still haven't managed to solve the issue...

My old flash website with the working links is at:
www.laidbacklondon.com (go to the accessories dropdown menu, click on belts, pick a size, and add to basket)

and the new one in HTML with the embeded flash file is at:
http://laidbacklondon.com/acc/belts.htm (lets you pick a size but nothing happens when you add to basket)

PLEASE HELP! All my other pages are done and I need to upload this ASAP.
I'm so fustrated!

Thanks in advance!

Your drop down menu's don't work neither Aliyah This is a shame as it's a nice looking site. I can't answer the question on flash because i don't use it, however I can say that I think the reason for your drop down menu's not working correctly is that you have their z-index set wrongly, it should be above your embedded flash. They work fine on the home page of the html version but whenever there's any flash embedded they drop down behind it.

Hope someone here can help you with the flash

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes I know that the z-index is incorrect for the second link and therefore the menu is popping up behind it.

As for www.laidbacklondon.com everything is (should be) working correctly?

If anyone else has a solution to my first problem (the flash links not working when embedded) I'd really really really appreciate it...

Thanks.

Are you sure the links nothing's been changed since you swapped over because the links in the embedded flash work fine everywhere else, it's just the here that they don't.

Maybe check the flash content on that particular part? Sorry for my vagueness (if there is such a word) i'm not familiar with flash!
