How can i have someone download a file after pay pal?
i have video and audio files on my website that i want people to purchase threw pay pal and after they pay i would like them to be able to download the file.. how can i do that in dreamweaver or frontpage?
please help thanks |

I don't have any experience with paypal or anything alike, but from what I read in other posts regarding this subject the answer seems to be this one:
you have to check the referrer url to see if the user is comming from the right page from the paypal site (btw, you have to know that page's url). If the urls are the same, then the user has payed for what you're selling so you can let him download the product.

I've never programmed a shopping cart (I've always used pre-written shop software) but I do know that PayPal will send your site an IPN (Instant Payment Notification) This will tell your site if the payment was accepted or rejected.
Documentation of integrating this can be found at PayPal under Merchant Services.
