Miva Shopping Cart assistance

Has anyone ever modified the .mv files for the Miva Shopping cart. I need to make some changes that cannot be changed in the Miva Admin tool but I am concerned that something will break when updates are applied.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's been a long time since I've used Miva, but IIRC the reason I stopped using it was that their terms and conditions do not allow code modification.

These guys have modules you can add to your Miva store - http://www.vikingcoders.com

Beyond that link, I'm a useless waste of space in this matter.

The latest versions of Miva are now compiled. All the extenstions have changed from "mv" to "mvc".

What do you need done?

There are work-arounds for basically anything within Miva due to it's modular construct.

The older versions were really laborious to work with especially those without the ability to upload flat files for updating product information.

I suggest asking for an update. Most web-hosting providers offer this for free. THe most widely used versions are now 4.16+
