Probably part of the SEO mod you added... you can't see sigs on my forum either if you're a guest.

Why? I don't want people to post on my site hoping to get backlinks just for posting... people get 1 backlink from the site if they put something in the homepage field... no need to clutter up the forum with abusive sigs... at least not a photography forum... it makes a little more sense for webmaster forums or seo or something... I don't see it as a big deal.

Im not talking of abusive links - why do you & the rest of us have links in your sig on this forum- ?

same principle, I was mearly saying that I want them to be crawlable...

I'm not talking about abusive links either... I have links in this forum because I participate here and get some backlinks because this forum is crawled... and surprisingly enough, I actually get some traffic from forum members as well. I don't want people to sign up for my forum and post just to get backlinks... I want people to join my forum so they can participate in photography-related discussions...

I added that mod (that came with the SEO mod), without much thought... people still put links in their sigs there, but they're only there for the benefit of fellow forum members.

thebassman, I dont mean to sound harsh towards you mate - but, I couldn't careless as to the reasons why you choose not to have sigs showing. its not my business & I dont want it to be!

my main concern right now is that I want my members sigs to show up for guests, the same as this forum has - thats all - I don't need to be educated aout backlinks on forums.

Anyway, hopefully someone will enlighten me as to what part of the seo mod dis-allows the forum sigs to be viewable to guests
