Gallery...
Need help instaling photo gallery, have tried a few times now but have totally messed it up please help.

what errors was it giving you? gallery is a fairly simple installation, probably just something small you are missing.

there is a step by step guide that comes with it.

I guess I uploaded it from when I installed it. Here is the install instructions that come with it. You can either use shell or just chmod either way works fine. chmod is probably easier though.

I agree. Moved.

Alot of the common issues with gallery is file permisison related. I personally have moved away from gallery in favor of coppermine because I find the install process much simpler with coppermine.

just to update everyone. The problem was that he was on a virtual server and php secure mode was turned on. As i can not turn that off from the client side, I have to wait to see if the host will turn it off for us.

There were some other problems with the script that was being used, just some php errors. I updated him to the most current version, and was a script that I knew worked because I use it myself

further to greg helping me with the gallery, i have spoken to my host and they said there is nothing wrong at there end and told me to read the docs tht came with it, if anyone can help me please do

they are just idiots. You have to get out of safe mode in order to run it. I had that problem on another server when I tried to make a gallery for a client.
