Ad coding

I am not sure if this is the right place but thought it was closest.

I am trying to create a section at the top of one of my sites that displays a advertisment which is a image with a link around it. What my troubles is, is that I want to make it so that on each page load a different link around a different image is displayed.

How would I do that?

You can use PHP and MySQL (or a text file) to change on every site page load. If you want to change on each USER's page load you would use cookies/session.

PHP will do I guess. Not what I wanted. I still prefer javascript.

You want out of the box solution or you have some codding experience?

You could try http://www.openx.org/ (former phpAds), albeit it's a complex system for a novice.

ok well MySQL would probably be the best way to use PHP if you want to do that.

Let me know and I'll try to make a quick script. Otherwise you can use PHP and a .txt file but it won't be as easy.
