Hardware Failure, help please

Hi all

My Computer gets stuck frequently when Windows XP getting loaded up (when the XP bar moving from left to right), and if I switch to safe-mode the problem doesn't come again.

Today, I tried to re-install Windows XP, but it gets stuck whiling installing components.

Could someone tell me what part of the pc hardware is down?

Thanks in advance

Clark

I had this problem, my disk was scratched. An easy thing to forget about, if it's not that take out your sound, network, and anything else you have (except for video cause you need it) and try and install windows XP. If it works plug a card in, turn your box back on and install it. Do one card at a time and you may work it out. Best of luck ;-)

Thanks for your advice. It seems that though nothing could be taken out for the test because they are already at the minimal level...

Hm thats no good, if I was you I would get your windows XP CD and burn it on the slowest speed (1x) and then use that, it could just be the disk it really poor condition, if that fails I wouldn't have a clue

Hey do you guys know any good 'activity logger' for free? I need to install it for someone without one's knowledge and record what files he opens each time.
