Good advice there cgreen but I think his particular issue seemed like a conflict of some sort.

If anyones video card is overheating, I would still try running the system without the case on for a while though just to see if this solves anything also.

Your advice is good though as I never really thought of it like that before. But then again, I used to be a software not hardware

Score! I have never been so happy to see a BSOD, but it came with an error message. A helpful one! Apparently something about Norton's Antivirus has been screwing with my system, something about a kernal not having enough memory to suck up then crashing, which it probably why the crashing coincided when I was playing resource hogging games.

I tried uninstalling the damn thing during my first purge (I perfer AVG), but I started to get errors, with other programs, and I went back to a restore point. I should be good now.

Damn right it does! I have it but I end up disabling it half the time because it prevents other people on my home network from using my printer etc.
