Another Video Card Question

I recently got me a new card. It is a GeForce FX 5500. I installed it and just on a few games it has issues with directx. Could this just be directx or maybe the games need a patch? I have directx 9.0c on my computer which is what came with the card.

Did you download newer drivers for the card or did you use the ones on the disc? Usually the ones that it comes with are a bit dated.

Just off the cuff, go to the manufacturers site and download any updates to your driver and check for this issue within their support.

You'd be amazed how quickly manufacturers throw up additional fixes to their current drivers.

...and, just for reference, DirectX 9.0c IS the latest and greatest version.

I'm going to overstate the overstated.

Download the latest drivers.

I have tried every flippin driver update I can find. Accept maybe updates to my board's drivers.

In WinXP or Win2000,

Start -> Run -> DXDIAG -> {Enter} -> More Help -> Troubleshoot

See where you can get with that.
