Rate My Squidoo

I'd be keen to visit and rate any Squidoo lens created by v7n members.

So, just like we Digg each others posts, perhaps we could use this thread to promote any lenses we want rated.

There are two ways we can do this...

1. Add v7nmember to your tags and then we can use this search to find each other http://www.squidoo.com/tags/v7nmember
2. post a link to your lens in this thread

I'm curious: what's the deal with Squidoo?

I've seen it mentioned a few times, checked it out once, but I don't see the appeal. Is it another community Blogging service? Just another page on which a person can put a link to his own site?

It's different from blogging and would be a pain in the behind to use as one.

It's more like a personal wiki that you can monetise (a bit).

For people who don't have a website and have information they want to share it can be a good alternative to a blog.

A "diary" or "journal" can be off putting because you feel obliged to write frequently.
A lens is built and maintained as required.

That said, for those of us with proper websites a lens has limited appeal. I'm playing with it really.

Is it worthwhile?
i.e. - Are links within your lens found by Google, thereby increasing your Search Engine rankings? Do you get a significant amount of traffic?
