Apple notebook

after going to the London Javascript Night last night, I realised ALL real geeks have apple notebooks. I want one too now.

Firstly, which one is the best for me? I will use it mainly for coding (JS, PHP mostly and soon Ruby), watching DVDs on the train when I am between London and Birmingham, and that is about it (unless CS:Source suddenly is available for OSX!).

My general rule of thumb is to go for the biggest and the best of everything (a quarter pounder with cheese isn't enough, it has to be two double quarter pounders and cheese!) however there is a fairly big price difference between a MacBook and MacBook Pro!

What do people recommend? Now they are intel based, can I stick generic RAM in them?

Are there new models in the pipeline I should wait for?

And finally but most importantly, I am in the UK, is there anyway I can get a discount on one? If not, where is the cheapest to go?

thanks

I you can afford it, I'd go with the Mac Book Pro model. The Pro comes in 15" and 17" inch display. The Macbook (non pro), comes only at 13".

These are vey recent, I don't know for sure but I don't think you'll get major updates soon.
