sounds like a bit of sensationalism. The internet is built on the TCP/IP suite of protocols which was originally conceived by the DoD during the Cold War. It is built to withstand nuclear attacks on a huge scale by having a network topology that allows for one or more nodes to be taken out and still allow communications between ALL other nodes.

really? Hmm...well, I did say it was MSN, so it kinda goes without saying that it isn't 'hard' news. I thought it was something to think about though...thanks for shedding light (sorta  ) on it!

lol just MCI / UUNet is enough to keep things going
There are WAYYYYY tooo many nodes out there these days for anything serious to happen and if anything did i doubt it would be for too long
