Intel Celeron D 3.xx GHz VS Intel Mobile P4 3.XXGHz

Hi guys.

Me and a friend are having an argument to comparing which procesor is the best.

Intel Celeron D 3.XX VS Intel Mobile P4 3.XX
Desktop Laptop/Notebook

also if you can tell us why is one better than the other. Some techi details

Well as far as I know anything Intel puts out Mobile or Regular beats out a celeron. I know for sure the regular has a L2 chache which the celeron doesnt but I'm not sure if the mobile has the L2 cache.

If the mobile does indeed have both the L1 and L2 cache then that alone will beat out the celeron.

Not sure about this specific processor but I think Celerons have a less cache (25kb) on the processor.

Think the other (mobile p4) has 512kb

Ok I just looked it up. The mobile processors that are out now have both the L1 and L2 cache

So the Mobile is better than the celeron unless if celerons now have L1 and L2 cache but as far as I know without looking into it celerons do not have both the L1 and L2 .

Mobile has 2MB cache, Celeron has 1MB.
The main difference is in powere stepping, which Celeron D lacks, and therefore uses more battery power.
