Tablet with Linux

I believe tablet laptops require special software to run and do tablet like things... like touch screen. Microsoft has a special OS for it... call Microsoft XP tablet addition or something

Any way, I was thinking about buying a Tablet Laptop. Is there any way to run Linux on it and still have it touch screen. Or does there need to be a special OS on it?

Here is the Touch Screen HowTo for Linux.

http://www.linux.com/howtos/XFree86-...en-HOWTO.shtml

I dont know if you need an OS that runs on the tablet? If thats the case Im not sure how it works but if you can install an OS on it I'm pretty sure you can install linux on it.

I'm at Portage and Main five times a week... Drive through there when I go to pick up the GF. To be honest I don't think there is anyone who lived in Winnipeg for more than 3 months that hasn't been there. Wpg is hard to get lost in after a year or so of living here.

I remember that corner... I stayed at the hotel across from the Forks. Windy as per it's reputation. I think I have pictures from the tallest building there, whatever that is...

I remember seeing a tattoo shop under ground in the halls that link the malls together. It was like a cave in the wall lol
