Unhappy trouble installing shockwave

I just had to reboot my computer because of a virus, and now I have no shockwave player and I cant play most games. I went to micromedia to download it. (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi) and when I clicked install here is what happened:

I have waited about half an hour and nothing happens. I have uninstalled the old version of shockwave I had before I tryed this, and I have installed "micromedia flash player" before too

please help.

Try getting it for another browser such as Firefox first also make sure you remove all traces of the previous install as a remaining corrupt file may be stopping you.

I've had problems with shockwave too.. try downloading the "offline installer" , then run it. That usually works better for me than doing it online.
