Question Query on MS Outlook attachments

Hello friends,

I have a query to put it across!

I have a new folder 'XYZ' (created by me) in my MS Outlook which contains mails having audio and video files as attachments. I now want to save (or extract) all these attachments from all the mails in my XYZ folder to somewhere in my harddisk. Any one know how to go about that?

I tried finding it out myself and came up with some Sharewares like Outlook Attachment Sniffer, Attachments Processor for Outlook, Outlook Express Attachment Extractor, etc etc... Just so curious to know if you know any other way to get this done? (if possible with out using any third party applications) or through any Macros??

Any help or suggestion on this is highly appreciatable!

There is no way within MS Outlook to do this. It would require a third party appication, and you mentioning macros. Well macros are a crude form of programming... i.e. what these third party programs are. Sorry if that sounds confusing, but yes there are external codes (macros) that you can run, however; I don't know nor do I know anyone who knows this "code" off the tops of our heads.... hence why there is third party software out there to do it for you. I hope this answers your question and I am sorry there isn't really an easy answer for you.

No they have, say 200 emails, all with picture attachments, all DIFFERENT e-mails. They want to be able to d/l all of them all at once. Instead of having to go through each one individually and saving each one individually.

So, I should make use of third party applications only.
Thanks to both of you for your replies.

May I ask why you don't save them to your hard drive when you get them? I mean why pay for another program when you can just take the time to open each email and just save it to your hard drive.
