I have to agree with v7nden, IE does tend to become somewhat unstable when multiple tabs are open. I only recently upgraded to IE7 just to see if they had improve themselves but i guess I will be sticking to FF for the time being.

I use IE7 and live with 4, 5, 6, and 7 or more tabs open. I have been running like this for about a month now and have never had IE7 blow up on me. Too many variable in the computer to say what the difference is, especially with a generally technical group like this. We are all doing things that probably push the limits in one way or another.

Firefox rocks because of its extension and plugins features.
Also they update it very often with new features.
Firefox rocks.

I think you have been smoking too much cannabis because you seem to be in a unique position where IE doesn't cause any problems for you ... maybe your computer is passively smoking and lulling IE into a stable condition.

Hands down FF. It just has way too many options, add ins , and upgrades.
IE7 just cant compete with that.
Now if they could just come up with an open source email administrator with the options of Outlook with out all the crashing and restarts, I will name a kid after them.

Cheers!
I've been using FF ever since we were introduced and I haven't had the urge to go back using IE since...

I've been with Firefox from the very beginning. When it was called pheonix... then firebird... and finally firefox.
I've never been as unhappy with it as I am now.
It crashes way too much. While I'm glad there's a number of you it doesn't crash for, there's a rediculously high amount of users that it does crash for. They need to update the latest version to combat this or I will be searching for a new broser.
This is why I initially left IE.

This I must agree with when it comes to Firefox 2, I am still using 1.5.0.9 for this very reason, Firefox 2 on its own was good, but the moment I added my regular plug-ins it became very unstable, since rolling back to 1.5 I haven't had a crash since. I did try to track down which plug in caused the crashes but it was so random in frequency I gave up in the end and rolled back.

My 2 (big) cents

The are no issues with IE compared to FF other than Microsoft takes a little longer to fix errors, thats about it.
It is still a damn good browser.

Ahh, the effects of being a multi-BILLION dollar corporation
Also, FF would be to the shits right now if it dominated the browser market because, like G10 said in a previous post, it would be obliterated with security holes and attacks every....... damn...... waking..... moment.....
Sure, FF is nice and has included a nice system of plugins, and I'm sure IE will soon include that one day. And when it does, FF will be doomed!!
"Here's a nice little fact for everyone on the browser war: Did you know that every year (sometimes even more than once) Microsoft, Mozilla, Netscape, and even Opera get together at a "round-table" meeting to discuss security issues and certain upgrades they could make? Just last year the main topic was Security Certificates and setting the "browsing-standard". Why do you think that IE, Opera, and FF look a lot a like now? No, not because they are copying each other, but instead, because they are giving each other ideas. One make update you might see between the browsers is that every time you go into a secure area, or site, the Address bar changes to a light yellow color and displays an icon to the far right of the bar? That's just one step further into the market. I wouldn't be surprised if one day all these browsers clump up into one big one "
(If Mozilla ever goes public, it will be bought out by Microsoft, just FYI )
Just my 2 cents...

I use both IE and FF, it is good to see someone else in the market besides microsoft having a monopoly on browsing. I find FF very easy to use and have not had any problems with it.

I use firefox for my regular surfing and IE for checking my webpages to see if the other percentage of my viewers are seeing firefox compatible only websites so I can make my amendments easily.

I got FF, IE and Netscape installed.
Mainly for the reason to check out how the websites look.
First I design the layout for FF, and if there are any bugs in IE I just work around it. Finding the solution to make it IE compatible is usually easy to find
In my opinion FF is just better, more stable, more secure etc. And ofcourse the addons work like a charm. So as you can guess I am also using it for my regular browsing.
