Visual Basic

Are there any visual basic users here? If so, maybe you could point me to a site where I can learn to access mysql databases with vb. Thanks..

Some places to start:

mySQL and VB

http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb...45784&lngWId=1

http://www.vbmysql.com/articles

http://www.vbmysql.com/articles/datatypes.html

http://www.developerfusion.com/forum....aspx?id=13283

http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb...45784&lngWId=1

Keep searching "VB and mySQL" online and you'll find plenty more - maybe even better - sites.

You'll probably only need an ODBC connection and use the basic DB functions to connect.

No problem, happy to help.

I've used both vb6 and vb.NET, though I tend to use C# for .NET. vb6 will stick around for a while, mostly because loads of vb6 apps still exist. I supported a few at my last job. They couldn't find a good business case to translate it into .NET, so in vb6 it stayed.

I'm using VB6 and VB.net programming language. For the tutorial, if you have MSDN, that's a better resources for VB users.
