Ohhh, I wouldn't be too quick to call the rollers stupid. I worked as a Sales Engineer for a software company. I was the technical half of a multiple sales teams. I was the Swiss Army knife. When your laptop bag weighs 40+ pounds and you are dragging it on your shoulder or in your hand across 4 airports in a day, those rolly things start looking really, really good. Are they for everybody, no. But they can be a lifesaver and a back saver for a lot of us.

At the end of the day, its in harms way on the floor isn't it? I use a rucksack laptop bag, easy to carry, safe and doesn't invite theives...

Julie, when you are the one of 2 or 3 people a million dollar sale rides on, you become super boy scout. Everything you could possibly need has to get crammed in. You drag 20 copies of your handouts, a couple of sets of manuals for an enterprise level software product, extra batteries for the laptop, cables to connect to anything under that sun, a whole range of DB9 and DB25, male and female adapters (necessary at that time, pointless now). You can see, it starts adding up real quick and pretty soon you have a 30 or 40 lb. laptop bag. Rollies start looking real good

Abbi New York - Darci (Sienna)
COST: ~$82 US (including shipping), delivered from the states. Other online sellers.
STYLE: More casual, colourful, feminine.
PROS: Reasonable cost, great reviews, makes a definite statement.
CONS: No handle, fabric may wear, will I like it two years from now?

Wabags - Patrick (Black)
COST: $89 US (plus shipping).
STYLE: More casual, black silk.
PROS: Monochrome embroidered fabric gives flair without glare.
CONS: Little storage, no feet, reported wear.

McKlein - Evanston (Sand/Orange or Red/Tan)
COST: $135 US (including shipping). Other online sellers.
STYLE: Stylish, leather.
PROS: Comes with laptop sleeve, lots of storage compartments.
CONS: Maybe a little plain (too minimal?), colours are only okay.

Acme Made - Cargo Slim (Peacock)
COST: $259 US (plus shipping). Other online sellers.
STYLE: More professional.
PROS: Stylish and unique, excellent quality, classic style.
CONS: Cost, may not be able to purchase for a while.

Knomo - Cholet 15.4" (Black/Pink or Cinder/White)
COST: ~$280 US (plus shipping). I may be able to get a friend in London to ship it to me for less.
STYLE: Very. I love the shape.
PROS: Best quality, I will not be concerned about space nor wear. Also has a great padded sleeve.
CONS: Cost. I prefer the black, but am not so much a pink person (but it's growing on me). The Cinder is nice, but I wish the lining was a punchier colour. I'm picky like that.

I really should decide this week before I spend any birthday money...

Yes. I have decided that the ONLY bag I want is one they no longer make (with those colours) and stores no longer have.

I emailed the company and they said they had absolutely none left. I even posted this, though I know I won't get a positive reply. And I'm almost certain it will never make an appearance on eBay ever.
