Beating your head off the wall really hurts!!!

So my new comp came with Vista preinstalled... Oh ya, its pretty alright but not exactly functional or easy to use. I thought I would share a folder and a printer so my wife and kids can listen to music and print through this comp. What a headache it caused...

Bottom line is if you ever shared files and folders between two XP machines you know it was straightforward and EASY. Well welcome to the friendlw world of Vista...

That is happening to all kinds of stuff though. The more crap they put on the front end to "make it easier to use", the more difficult it becomes to solve a problem if you have one. If you know what you are doing, you still have to work through all the "easy to use" front end. And when it doesn't work right, you have a MUCH more difficult time getting to the real problem and fixing it. I like a lot of that usability and ease of use stuff but I do think they are taking it too far on more than just OS's and computers.
