I'm good with math.
I'm good with music.
I'm good with puzzles.
I'm good with internet and gadgets, and some software.

BIOS scares me ****less. lol

But if you say, to try it out it is as easy as popping the CD, I may yet do that.

You don;t even need to know that BIOS exists with Live LinuxDistros.
The important thing is you need to try before you either go for it or decide it's not for you. Personally, I'm not into ubuntu but try it and have fun. Live CD is perfectly safe. The worst that can happen is that you will have spent time downloading it and burning a CD.

Yeah chicgeek,
Live CDs are totally fun, they are safe too, you can't loose any data. I got addicted to trying them, so I have tons of burned live cds around.

Are you already happy with Ubuntu or you need another suggestion?

I'll say, stay away from Ubuntu in an office environment. It'll bite you in the long run. Go for openSuSE or SuSE. And yes, do remember what LittleFella wrote in his first post in this thread IF you select Ubuntu.

openSuSE is free and the most reliable Linux distro available on the planet Earth as far as my experience is concerned.

Now one thing is that I don't have any blank CDs to burn to... they're all packed away in Toronto. *sigh*

I'll wait.
