I also selected "always show html" in IMR settings, it wasn't selected... but that wouldn't have been the cause .. right? I had to "log in" to view my IMR settings, and am assuming that, me not being logged in , was the problem but, can you even view the forum without being logged in?

well no matter what your pref. personal browser is, we all still have to check our work in diff. browser/OS
personally i use IE most of the time but i like how fast Opera is, it's a racer

brian some crank wrote that article hes prob a punk reinventing himself anarchy and all that, seriously ok well it does store info where you went big deal unless your paranoid i ve no probs with IE at all a few critical updates its fine. also they put that feature in with best intentions to make it easy not to spy on evey one which would be hard to collate the info from everyone, get a schredder if ur para

mozFirebird for me
It is not as refined as IE on the usability, but it has so much extra features that those little details I like pail into insignificance and my browsing is more efficient.

I think you can have that on a windows machine as well - Dual Boot!
Best to to install it on it's own partition though.
And then then it's gonna be hard, my mate did this and he's a techie, - but windows still screwed the linux partition! (Special MS code to sabotage?  )
