Mozilla is a world-class open source browser that is designed from the ground up to support open internet standards across a variety of platforms including Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, OS/2, Solaris, and many more. Does M$ do this?
Mozilla also provides a sophisticated platform for developing web and intranet applications using cutting edge technologies such as XML, SOAP and XSLT. Does IE do this?
Mozilla offer free support. M$ charges you $255 U.S. just to open a support channel.
Mozilla offers tabbed browsing. DOes IE?
Mozilla is also a web development platform with advanced tools like the DOM Inspector, the JavaScript Debugger. Does IE?
In addition to supporting the Web standards and common proprietary plug-ins, Mozilla has great support for the millions of non-standard Web pages. Mozilla's "quirks" mode and "almost standards" mode ensure that even buggy Web pages display quickly and correctly. DOes IE do this?
The answer to all of the above question is a big
NO here is why:
Problem with all m$ products is that they all depend on core compionents. so if there is one driver that has been corrupt it crashes (classic M$). This doesn't happen in Mozilla. Furthermore unlike M$ this coding is sound, open sources and editable. Something that M$ will never have because they fear competition so much.
