Good question I must say. As for me, I`d better use windows Xp instead of Vista. When you watch video on Vista you have good quality of showing. But for every plus there is a minus.

I have xp on my dell desktop and run vista ultimate on my toshiba laptop. I don't have anything against xp but I like the vista. It's true you need a lot of memory and I have 2gb. That's what I'll recommend for anyone wanting to use vista. If you don't have that much memory, then you're only going to keep on complaining about vista crushing and freezing and so on. If you have the right hardware, there's nothing complicated about using vista.

Another xp question:

Does windows XP understand a pc which has 4 or 8 GB of memory, and take use of the memory the right way ?

I know with Vista if you have at least 4 GIG of memory you need to use a VISTA 64bit operative system.

Vista is nice if you have the right hardware, better network control, and a cool but useless 3d desktop switchie thing to impress the girls and much more
