Question Facebook and MySpace Divided by Class?

I always assumed that Americans were less interested in class than say the UK but ...

"A project has revealed a sharp division along class lines among the American teenagers flocking to the social network sites.

"The research suggests those using Facebook come from wealthier homes and are more likely to attend college.

"By contrast, MySpace users tend to get a job after finishing high school rather than continue their education.

Is there any truth in this do you think?

And if so do you think it is possible that v7N members can be placed in a 'class' or are we a 'class-less' group?

This is possibly the project survey ever.

Facebook started out as a college site. You could only become a member if you were in college and had a valid college e-mail. Not until the past year could high school users sign up (to this disappointment of all of us in higher education)!

LOL
I wonder if she was aware of this. It seems to me it would skew the results she got considerably.

Do you think we should write and tell her?

It'll go for something like peer review and she'll get mauled, so you might be doing her a favour.
