Google Domain Mistmatch Popups

This started happening a few days ago but I've noticed while browsing around to different sites, I am getting this annoying DOMAIN MISMATCH popup from either google analytics or a toolbars.google.com url. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

What browser? It sounds like a Javascript error and you can set it to not alert you in your browser settings. As a developer I like using Firefox's error console. If you type in javascript: in the address bar and hit enter it will show you javascript errors with a little more details.

I haven't seen anything like that but it would help a lot to have more info. As tbarr asked, what browser, what version of the browser? Can you get the entire error message and post it or do a screen shot and post it?

Here is an image of one of the popups I'm experiencing. I'm browsing the net via Firefox 2.0.0.6. This popup seems to happen randomly, yet it's only started happening within the past week or so.

It looks like you can fix it via FireFox tools or get an addon that supresses those messages.

I don't know for sure but it sounds like google's certificate does not include the google-analytics.com domain correctly or cleanly or at all but they are referencing that security certificate for connections. Thus, you are getting that message.

The really strange part is that it happens while you are browsing. I don't have FF 2 on the computer I am in front of but I am assuming you have a google tool bar installed? It could well be that data is being sent to google concerning your browsing habits?? I would be willing to bet that was one of the options I turned off immediately so I have never seen it. Check options for the Google toolbar if you have it installed.

Good Luck

Nope. I don't have the Google Toolbar installed. The first time I saw this popup, it immediately had me thinking that there was something wrong with Google's SSL certificate. I think I'm going to browse around and do some searching to see if this is actually a problem.
