I found a link where two AI bots ALICE bot and Jabberwacky bot "talk" to each other.

One of the bots asked:
- A: What is the meaning of life?
and the other bot answers:
- J: If you live it to the fullest, it has meaning. If not, there is no meaning.

TheFriend, I think it is better you ask those kind on questions in the right forum (like http://www.v7n.com/forums/web-directory-issues/) and in an appropriate thread... It isn't nice to start talking about directories and websites in a thread about AI and the meaning of life.

IMHO, the future of Artificial Intelligence is very bright. Just look at the fundings AI research is getting.

I am also nothing without computer. I think AI got long way to go. Rite now they are just dumb machines.

Years ago I used to play with something called NIALL (Non Intelligent Amiga Language Learner). You typed something into it, and in the beginning it woudl repeat it back to you. You then needed to respond intelligently back to its reponse. Over time the machine 'learned' to relate certain terms to certain expected responses until it got to the point where, in the early hours of the morning, you were able to convince yourself you were having an intelligent conversation with the computer. Is this an example of AI? NO, the clues in the name. The conversation between two bots throwing something vaguely intelligent out I see as being an extension of NIALL.
