MAC's have come down in price. If you buy a window and everything else you need to keep it working for 3 years. You've paid more than what a MAC cost.

MAC may have came down in price, but, this may sound ignorant, but they still suck. The new iMac's totally suck. Working in photoshop with them is unbearable. It takes multiple seconds to render stupid effects on a 10 inch piece of artwork. Hmm, slow.
MAC's are only good when they actually have the amount of processing power Windows PC's already have.
And until MAC's have decent popular software out for them, why use them?
Linux is just good. No one needs the software of other platforms, simply, because you can make your own.

I'm a big fan of FreeBSD.
I love Mac's and own a Macbook Pro but the range of available software is still lacking.
As your machine is usually only as good as the software you run on it, I'm afraid that leaves me with a vote of Windows.

I use Windows for everyday browsing, and Linux for server-type things. Sometimes I use Linux to browse around, but normally I use my Windows PC.
